Ive been told the sub date is harder to get because there is more demand for this reference as apposed to the no date.

I am sure it won't be a couple of years lol. My guess is that I will have it by summer. I have a great relationship with my AD so getting one isn't a question so much. However, when it appears that they could be getting multiple dates to every no date, it becomes a consideration if you want to jump ship and get the one that happens to be more available. It could mean the difference between getting one in April and getting one in July. I am thinking I should hedge against another possible price increase which would bring it to close to the price of the Sub Date. As they say a bird in hand is worth two in the bush. As much as I like the clean symmetry of the sub, i could live with the cyclops / date.

I don’t think a couple of years. ADs get a lot of black subs. Maybe up to a year but many first time Rolex buyers even on here got them within 6 months. I got my buddy one from my AD in 4 days, they are much more available than people think.

Another thread with no pictures ... what the heck is with this place lately?

I much prefer the Submariner for reasons as stated above. I think if I were you, I'd hold out.
