Why's it always the newcomers that are asking worth of their watches and treating them like investments?

Not just the FNGs. Just take a look at some other “investment” threads. TRF has become the “The Return on investment Forum”.

Simply because to many now Rolex watches are just ££$$€€ object things and nothing more, or a micky mouse brand with comic book names.

Yep. It just sat in the inventory or maybe used as a exhibition piece and wasn't sold until the new cards were used. Its not uncommon.
Bought my wife a 26mmDJ with a serial G (which is 2010) but the warranty is dated 2018. Rolex stopped producing 26mmDJ around 2015. Asked my dealer about it and she said its not uncommon for that to happen and seen it plenty of times. So, no, it doesn't add any value. |

If the warranty card is authentic and the model number and serial number on the card are correct, there is no mismatch and you are good.
116610LVs were sold with dark green cards. One or two of them were posted on this forum. |
