And I would say the only thing I am absolutely 100% sure is genuine is the 3186 movement and the pieces I got from the AD |

Nothing is “spare “. I hit up a bunch of different watch makers and dealers on Chrono and this forum that were selling parts and pieced it together. And I lucked out big time when I found the 3186 and the 116713 case. It took 5 months to gather everything. Thanks.

Very cool. Rolexes are hand assembled. Authentic parts and what’s the difference?

This guy converted his LN into a Pepsi successfully. Some good learning from his experience. Cool project for sure. |

This. I don't get the hate. It's not like a Rolex is a custom one-off kind of work. They are assembled from parts in a bin like most machines. There isn't any hand modification of gears or parts to work well together. The only real difference is the assembled movements are COSC tested then cased. I suppose the only real issue is where stacking tolerances could lead to a rejected movement for some reason but if it runs within spec I would be tempted to call it a Rolex. I think it's an interesting project. I guess the real test would be whether Rolex would find it genuine.

I have seen the pictures of the watch and I like it very much. The result is much better than Victor Frankenstein's experiment. Congratulations. So enjoy it. |

Well done OP! IMHO not a fake watch, rather a Rolex built from parts (like the Omega Watchco 300’s mentioned above)
