Suspect clasp code on 2022 126710BLNRs - opinions needed

Hello good people

Long time unregistered lurker here. Apologies for the opportunistic registration and first post asking for help, but your expert opinions would be much appreciated.

I recently bought a 2022 GMT II Batman on Oyster bracelet from a fairly reputable (I say fairly as they have not been around too long but have a good reputation) grey dealier in the UAE. It was sold as brand new - had few stickers on it, full box + papers + international guarantee card with matching serial. I've had a couple of GMTs in the past so was confident the watch was genuine after playing with it, so pulled the trigger.

I was so happy with the purchase that I decided to buy one for my father as well (we both had milestone achievements this year...), so asked the same dealer to source me another one. After about 10 days they managed to get one, and I picked it up (after inspecting again of course) a few days ago.

Both watches are running very accurately (mine a smidgen under -1 sec/day and father's bang on at +1 sec/day), and bezel and crown action buttery smooth on both.

What caught my attention today though is that the clasp codes on both watches are numbers only, and they're the same number (159)! As I understand all Rolex clasp codes are supposed to be alphanumeric, and that is the case with my other Rolexes. The engraving is slightly different between the two as well - one has thin, single-line engraving and the other has thicker, double-lined engraving (and this one also has slightly smudgy ROLEXSA engraving).

Have I been done over? I've heard that some dealers sell genuine watches but swap out the bracelets for fake ones, then sell the gen bracelets separately. FYI the bracelets and clasps both feel great...

Should be very grateful for your sharp eyes and expert opinions...please help. Not super bothered for myself but would hate to gift my father a dodgy gift :(

Thank you all in advance.

Couldn't say for sure.

Clasp codes are random, just like serials, so I have not heard that they would be only alpha-numeric.

They are also not serials, but production codes, so there will be many with the same codes around.

It might give confidence to take a look inside the case.

The UAE authorities are not very fond of cheating.
No dealer would risk that.
I bought many items in the various gold soukhs.
Some places look really shabby there but I was never cheated.

Don’t worry
