If you had to choose to keep only 1 watch...

What would be your choice for someone who is in late 20s, business casual setting and pretty active lifestyle?

I had a chance to try on the DD40 but I honestly don't know if it speaks to me.

OP or Submariner if you’re ok not having a date (I personally prefer no date).

Blue Sub... there'll be time enough for the DD40 after a couple more decades.

For a PM piece in your 20s I vote go stealth and get the 126619LB. Best sub but that is just my opinion.

Agreed. I think this also carries into yours 30s, 40s, and 50s.

100%. Hands down my favorite sub, regardless of age.

I do think in a business setting for a young professional it is just less "in your face" in general though, which was my point. I like that only watch people know what that reference actually is... But wear what you want!

One watch only: would probably be the GMT Batman/Bruce Wayne or the Cermit.

If you had to choose to keep only 1 watch...

The Submariner, but fortunately, I’m not bounded by such constraints.

+1 here for the 126619LB!! It gives you a PM without throwing it in peoples faces (especially since you mentioned being in your 20’s, want to be careful of “outshining” older business associates and colleagues with an obviously more expensive watch; egos are a fragile thing and damaging someone’s can cost you money and opportunities). Plus the blue and black wears well with everything and you can’t go wrong with a sub! Also congrats on being in your 20’s and in a position to have these pieces on your radar…in my 20’s I was saving up for a Luminox lol.

Does it have to be a PM piece or can it be TT? How about a CHNR or Bluesy?

Thanks for the great advise. I believe I still have some decade more to wait to enjoy the yellow gold watch.

I know this is a Rolex forum and such, but for me, if I were back in my 20s, I’d not go for a Rolex. I’d look at some microbrands or something a bit more under the radar (personally think Zodiac makes some cool stuff).

But I’m just some random dude on the internet, what do I know haha.

between the given choices, black dial sub. But if you could choose another... GMT or Daytona would make great one watch daily wears!

Honestly none of these. A SS Sub ND is probably best for 20 something, unless you own your own business or something.

And in your title, you use the word "keep", does that mean you have all 3 already? I don't understand. And if you do own all 3 already, isn't it a question of whether you've bonded with those watches? Also what's the reason for letting go 2 of them?

WG sub is perfect. I was drawn to YG in my late 20s early 30s. Now at 34 I can see this watch staying for decades to come

None for that age group, in my opinion.
Better a steel Rolex.
