Rolex Datejust 126200 Blue Dial - Buy in secondary market or wait for AD???

Hi - I am new to this forum and was hoping to get some advice from the community!

I am getting a little somethin somethin for myself after a very surprisingly good bonus (was expecting nothing at all lmao) and want to treat myself w a Rolex

I really like the look of the DJ, 36mm Blue Dial, and can't decide whether I should wait for an AD to call me off a wait list (gave my information to 3 AD in NYC last weekend),

OR if I should go with a secondary market purchase of the watch for $10.3. I got an invoice from secondary dealer in Diamond District, NYC. ---- never worn 2020 Oyster w domed bezel

Wondering if anyone has an opinion on this one... photo attached

Don’t go secondary. All that does is perpetuate the madness. Go with ADs. Do it right and you’ll have it in three months.

I would suggest waiting at least a few months. 36mm DJ’s shouldn’t take too long although blue always seems to be the most asked for dial.

Depends on the price but the lugs on that one seems to be pretty dinged up, I would look for a better example.

Definitely wait. With the impending economic cool off I feel more watches will suddenly become available.

Please wait. No reason to go to secondary market for this.

Yup. Buy now, before it becomes a 12.3k purchase.

Wait. I've been waiting for my Dj36 since the 1st week of Jan and was told it can take 7-8 months.

Buying new from an AD at retail with full warranty is a much better experience. You will be excited when you “get the call”.

I if bought one from grey it sure as hell wouldn’t be that one.
Aside from that, AD wait will pay off for this reference, I’d think.

Appreciate advice - waiting seems like a good call. Gonna try to find an AD and build a relationship, build a relationship for multiple purchases down the line

Good call. I expressed interest to a local AD for a blue 126200 with Jubilee in December and got the call in early February.

Definitely wait. It’s absolutely possible within reasonable wait.
