Got the Text-- Got My Explorer!

Hi TRF'ers--

This doesn't happen often but my AD texted to let me know that my Explorer had arrived after a 9 month wait (2 months on a "wish list" + 7 months on a "wait list" after paying a deposit).

Just to provide some background, I have no previous purchase history with my AD but came in from time to time to express interest and build a relationship. I'd like to think what helped was expressing interest in a watch that I wanted to wear and keep for life and not focus on investment potential. I generally tried to be gracious and understanding when the AD had no models to display as I can imagine it's probably no fun to have empty displays.

When my time came I have to say the AD experience was a wonderful and truly special experience. My brother came to take pics and brought his Yachtmaster along.

What follows are pics of what the AD included and a pic wth my Submariner and my Explorer's first pic in the wild.

As for the watch, I love the subdued look and solid feel on the wrist. Enjoy and thanks to all on the forum!
