Rubber B 'classic' strap for 116500LN

Hi guys,

Just wondering, does anyone have the 'Classic' Rubber B strap (the one that you use with the oyster clasp) for Ceramic daytona. Do you have to cut the strap in any way?

There seems to be only one size on their website but they say it fits from small to XL wrist..

I just used a rubber strap and the supplied buckle, the Rolex clasp will end up being scratched.

Mine became one of the most comfortable watches ever.

I have a RubberB for my 116500LN and made a video of it here:

It is not the one for the clasp ... mine is the tang buckle version (I didn't want to mess with attaching the clasp). But, you are correct -- for the clasp version you will need to cut the strap to fit. That was another reason why I like the tang version, my girlfriend can adjust it to her wrist if she wants to wear it. Don't worry, that is not often but sometimes she asks. :)

Yes, you have to cut the strap to length and make a notch for the locking mechanism. Keep the non-flip side long then you can recut if the original starts wearing on the flip lockn side.

May I ask if those endlinks came with the watch? I have a SS Daytona and would like to add a rubber strap but with end links if such a thing exists. Anyways, just thought I’d ask!

Not true for the 116500. Only the 116515 (leather) has this issue with the notch.

For the 500, it is plug and play. Add endlinks if you choose.

You are looking at a 116515, which only comes on strap and comes with the end links. You can buy end links for the 116500 or any bracelet model.

I dunno Doug. Something tells me she gets to wear it anytime she wants.

I prefer the OF offered on Etsy, they have the same steel band interior as Rolex uses. You then you need smarty end links

I dunno but I’ve had a blue Everest strap with the tangle buckle in my watch drawer for about 5yrs and finally pulled it out and had my ad pop it on over the weekend. I’d had enough of the pcl oyster on my BLNR. Entirely new watch now. Love it more than ever now.

Went with an oem oyster flex for about 4 months. Tried to like it but it's a no go. Went back to the steel bracelet.

Same. I tried a rubber b for a while, and went back to bracelet (and will probably never change).

As beautiful and high quality as the bracelet is, the Rubber B or even the Oysterflex do not do it justice.

I got the tang buckle version. Makes the swapping process much easier. I switch between rubber B and the original bracelet every month or so, it gives the watch a fresh look.

I’m thinking about getting endlinks to make the watch look more “robust”. Just haven’t found a good place for it yet. Maybe i’ll try smart endlinks.

Did u use Bagelstrap from etsy? Was thinking of getting their replica OF with clasp since ADs can't sell me a genuine OF. I would then buy smarty endlinks for my 116500. Thanks.

The Vanguard rubber strap is as nice, if not nicer, than Rubber B, and it's got more holes on the strap for a better fit. Oh, and it's a lot cheaper.
