Dare away, you’re right, the meteorite looks hideous and wins the award for the most illegible and optically confusing watch dial ever produced

The only way Rolex could have made a watch less legible would be to make a dial out of a QR code.

As for the dial color of the WG Pepsi GMT, the only remaining choice is blue, because if you buy the black dial, Rolex was kind enough to make your 3x higher cost watch identical to a SS model they introduced a few short years later…on oyster.

Wow the meteorite came down a bit in price.

Used to see steady 100-120k plus 30-45 days ago...now seeing 75ks (Bobs Watches has one up for $78k for a 2019--I dont believe they discount).

Even the overhyped Chrono 24 has prices sub 90k now.

The meteorite dial was my pick. The light face is a subtle homage to the exceptionally rare and special white dial GMT.

You’re of course fully entitled to your preference regarding the appearance and appeal of the dial, but the oft repeated claim about illegibility is nonsense. I wonder if this is just a trope repeated by those who have not seen the watch in person. As an owner, and someone who is cares about dial clarity, it’s not actually a problem with this watch.

Have you actually owned or tried one on? In terms or legibility there are a dozen I could name which are worse. It’s all about the reflection of the hands on the meteorite dials.

The only Occasion I cannot read the time on it is when I don’t have it on my wrist.

Seriously, see one in the flesh, wear it and then you’ll agree.
