Outside of the Freccione model, the 216570 with the floating hands is the best black dial Explorer 2 Rolex has ever made. The new one loses all of the charm without the floating hands. It’s a subtle distinction, however, it’s significant.

Overall though the polar dial is my favorite.

The 216570 is the only Rolex with the Caliber 3187, the only one with the Ghost Hands for the BD, just a absolute Future Classic.

The new WD looks like the old WD, you cant Spot the difference from a couple of feet away.

I would get myself the 216570 BD if i had to choose.

Personally i own two of them ��, one i often wear and one, fully factory stickered in the safe, got them Both nearly at the same time and couldnt refuse.
