Just got 126610. 3 months wait, zero prior relationship, visited the SA every 2 weeks. . Same AD has offered me any DJ41 after 6 weeks with a deposit and delivery in 3-6 months.

I know you asked about steel models, but it took 3 business days to get a Bluesy, with my only previous purchase from that AD being a Grand Seiko.

114060 same day in 2019, complete luck of the draw (no prior history at said AD). Someone to who it was allocated didn't show up, so it was mine. All other allocations have taken me at least 4 weeks

I got an SD 43 same day and my wife got a Pepsi in 3 days for me for my icy day.this was in 2020 and 2021. In 2018 I got a white ceramic Daytona after about 2-3 months.

August of 2018 I convinced my AD to order a BLNR for me. They wanted a deposit. When I showed up they took one out of the safe for me. They said it had just come in. It was my second Rolex from that AD at the time.

-Olive Green Everose Daydate: 3 month wait. Asked for in March 2022, received June 2022. Purchased 3 Rolexes and 1 Tudor since 2021.

-BLRO: 2 month wait. Asked for in November 2020, received January 2021. Purchased 1 Datejust 28mm

Different ADs. I was ready to wait years for both of these models. Really is about your relationship with your SA with a mix of purchase history from my experience. Cheers!

2012 doesn't count lol. Post craze. So mid 2017 or later.

Glad to hear you were able to pick your own serial number though. Imagine being able to do today...

Dec 2020, 126613LB, 1 day wait, no purchase history.

Needless to say, it's gotten a bit harder since then

Could be young millennial & zoomers not intuned to large sports professional tool watch.
Hint: check out the latest London, Milan, Rome, Tokyo, NYC, LA mags and fashion scene for men.
No one is wearing skinny pants or skinny jean or khakis no more.

And no one is wearing no Sub, DSSD, SD, Ex2, GMT2, YM2 or any watch larger than 41mm.
Hardly anyone is wearing any watch with black or dark colored dials or any thick watches.

Complications more complicated than date/chrono is out.
And PM is making its way back, along with thin small dress-watch, studded with diamonds, mother-of-pearl, on brightly colored stella/enamel/laqoured dials no-less.

You will be walking around looking like a granpa if you strut in the streets of Tokyo wearing a James Cameron, End-of-Days or any Panerai

Tokyo sounds fun, but none of that is true in the rest of the world.

In Texas, where Rolex is king, 41mm is considered a small ranchette among watches. We rarely think of Tokyo or its watch dynamic and their are LOTS of YMII's, GMTII's, Subs, etc. being worn daily. Of course, we ain't much for using magazines as guidance either.

1) ~4 mths for 126610LN following the purchase of a Seamaster 300 (2021)
2) ~13 months for BLNR Oyster following purchase of Sub above (2022)
3) Patiently waiting again, and was told they are limited to 1 per year per customer

So walked into the AD and case was filled with Subs, GMT's DJ's, Explorer I and II.........back in 1998 that is. By the time I got my Daytona (2014), I called and it was in the safe and they never put on display. I walked in and they took it out of the back, out of the coffin and sized it and I walked out. Meanwhile they were giving the usual business to those that walked in, well there is so much demand and a big wait list, and on and on. What I realized is that AD's tend to have stock, they just reserve some models for repeat customers which in todays day and age is whelp gray market dealers

Been trying for a year for my 1st piece, just want a no date sub 124060 as a daily. Been visiting 2 ADs on the regular & have had good convo's with them each time but I guess no go with being offered anything in person or getting a phone call. I'm in OC, California so no luck for me here.

I purchased my 116520 with white face from Tourneau Bal Harbour in November 2013 while visiting my Dad in Miami with no purchase history from that AD. Per the store managers, the timepiece had been stored in the back vault for a client who, if I remember correctly, had missed his return flight from CDG-MIA earlier that day.
