If it’s the older BLNR model on oyster, then maybe I’d do that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I wouldn't do a 2 for 1. Choose which one you're most okay with losing and trade 1 for 1.
Your statement of being apprehensive about only having one watch in the stable leads me to think you're most likely going to regret making a 2 for 1 deal, so why put yourself through that kind of mental anguish? |

YOLO
I think about situations like this: If you are looking at something and it has a value ask yourself this question: “If I had that much money sitting on the table today would I buy that something again?” If the answer is “No”, it is time to sell that something. It doesn’t matter what you paid for it or if it has gone down in value since you purchased it. Don’t keep something based on the past. Only keep something that you still enjoy and would purchase again today. In your case, if you had a pile of money today and the three watches were sitting on the table, would you buy the two watches you currently have (OP 41 and GMT) or the Daytona? Your answer to this question is your answer. |

Maybe as a straight up trade. But not if you have to add cash on top. Sure in the beginning it'll feel good, but eventually the feel good feeling will wear off, now you've got 1 less watch and a hole in the bank account.

Prior to all the craziness in the Rolex market this year or two, I'd have been firmly in the "no" camp, because it's likely that at some point you could maybe have gotten it from an AD. Now, I'd say get the watch you want. I've always been a "never get rid of a Rolex" guy, but just a couple months ago I traded away two Rolex's for one Patek.
Here's why. I never thought I'd be able to afford the Patek I wanted (5524) outright. Late last year/earlier this year it was selling well below MSRP, and my Rolex's were selling well above MSRP, so I traded a TT Daytona + an SD43 (both which I bought for MSRP in previous years and both of which I liked/wore regularly) for the Patek - and I've been thrilled about it since! There has been some really excellent advice given on both sides of it...so my only advice is do what your guy tells you want WANT, not necessarily what is the most economically logical. You'll get way more enjoyment that way (I know)! Prices go up, prices go down - but as many have said repeatedly, these aren't good core "investments" to begin with. |

Although I wouldn’t trade the models you have, but if it’s for the watch that you really want…go for it!
