The wife is going to buy me a Rolex

She's so sweet. Last night I was showing her my kickstarter watch and she mentioned that once all the estate stuff is settled (both of her folks passed recently) she plans to buy me another Rolex. But, she said, "you can't sell it." I do have a tendency to get easily bored and flip my watches.

I explained to her that it was a very nice gesture, but it may not be quite as easy as she thinks to obtain a man's Rolex these days. When we bought her OP a few years ago, they were starting to get difficult to obtain, but less so for ladies' watches.

I do need to find an AD with the new Sub as a demonstrator so that I can see how it fits (the 114060 just wore too big on me) before I suggest that she get me another Speedmaster instead.

Anyway, I thought it was a nice gesture on her part and wanted to share my good fortune in picking an excellent wife.

Hmmm. I need your wife to meet my wife so she can convince my wife to buy me a new Rolex.

Maybe checkout other Omega models if you already have a Speedmaster???

Nothing says “you can’t sell” like a DD 36 or 40.

Seriously, for a life long memorable watch it has to be a DayDate, no?
