I almost got scammed by someone who has hacked Rolex66's account.

About 2, 3 weeks ago, I saw a post on Vintage Rolex Forums on Facebook selling a 16520 by Christopher George. But it was quickly sold before I could make a decision. Then about a week later, I saw a post in Rolex Forums here selling the same watch, with exact same pictures at the same price by a Rolex66. I clicked his username on the post and sent him a message. He soon replied me and gave me his email addresss: [email protected]. I checked 'who's who' and learnt that Rolex66 was Christopher George. So, I thought may be his sale on Facebook did not go through in the end. After a couple of email exchange, I thought he sounded too desperate for a real collector/dealer. So, I messaged the real Christopher George on Facebook and he said the watch had indeed been sold and the guy using Rolex66 (which was the real Christopher's username on Rolex Forums) to message me was not him. Christopher reported to the admin here but his Rolex66 account has been suspended.

Just thought I would let you guys aware of the incident. Pls be careful, fellow members!

There was a recent post about 66.
Be vigilant people.

Thanks for the post. He tried to scam me recently as well. Always be on the lookout and don’t send money without doing a FaceTime/video call to match up any identification info provided and see the watch on hand.
