GMT Master 2 sent to RSC, come back with loud noise?

Link to noise

I dropped my watch a number of months ago and dented the rear case, i sent my watch to a official Rolex workshop who quoted me for for the following

New middle case £2,300
Crystal £105
Full Service £600

I authorised the repair and it was sent to Rolex for all the above, i received the watch back and at the slightest movement of the watch you could hear what i believe is the rotor inside spinning very loudly, i contacted the workshop again who told me to get it back to them, i did this and they said they spoke to Rolex who told them this is normal, and the GMT is a louder watch than other models, They said they would take a look at it anyways and i got the watch back to me that makes a now quieter noise, but the noise is still there and the smallest movement, i refuse to believe this is normal and feel very disheartened with what I now have back in my possession having paid over £3,000. The below paragraph is what the full service is described as

Quote:
The full Rolex service procedure is designed to ensure that every timepiece leaving our workshop complies with its original functional and aesthetic specification. Each movement is completely overhauled and each case and bracelet is meticulous refinished to restore its lustre. Timekeeping accuracy and water-resistance are rigorously tested to guarantee the level of quality and reliability you naturally expect-from a Rolex watch
What should i do in this situation, I have owned 3 GMT's and never heard a sound like it, also there is no sounds this loud on any of my other models. Thank you

That does not sound normal. I came across this on reddit, maybe this is the issue. Im surprised Rolex couldn't address it fully. I'd send it back.

I think that link is off a rep watch community.

Yes, but in the comments it says that it works for genuine watches too. Its just for the OP to get an idea of what could be the issue.

OP’s watch isn’t the same as that rep movement.

The rotor is ever so slightly louder on the 32xx movements. I’ve noticed this as well as I used to have a Batman 116xxx model and ended up with a new Pepsi last year. The rotor is definitely more noisy in these newer movements.

Hi, rolex are already on the third version of the rotor for caliber 32XX. Newer versions have improved ball bearings. Yours sound like a poorly lubricated mk1 rotor so to speak. Ask for a rotor upgrade under warranty.
