Discontinuation Rumours

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62g6VkYKp-4

Thorpe speculating Batgirl gone/going. Watches of Switzerland just updated their website and removed it, leaving the BLNR on Oyster.

Some others thinned down too, BLRO on Oyster gone, VTNR on Jubilee gone.
Blue dial steel Skydweller gone also.

The Blue dial SkDw doesn't exist in the hardback 22-23 catalogue either, so could be one we see go in the coming months.

Tin-foil hat on...
Part of me does wonder if this video was posted to "help" the Greys who bought these high to sell asap before the market takes them further down..... lol

If he's right it will raise his accuracy record above 10%.

The models shown on any AD site are a plug-in feed from Rolex and will be identical across all AD sites. I think they just don't put the complete collection on there. Blue dial YM and many PM Daytona dials also missing.

Ok with me, never cared for the batgirl (on others it looks great IMO.)

Maybe then the AD would 'allocate' a BLNR on Oyster for me?

Nah. Haven't bought enough Omegas yet.

Don't worry. If Paul Thorpe says it's happening, it's not happening.

This happens all the time. All those configurations are still on the Rolex website. Fake news.

That's awesome. I heard Rolex is being taken over by a large hedge fund and will now be a crypto commodity only. Oh wait.

Jubilee bracelet on any GMT, to me, looks too busy. Oyster is the way to go for a much cleaner look.

I agree, perhappps with the exception of a BLRO, it seems to suit that more in some ways to me. The BLNR is a much better looking watch on the Oyster for me.

Remember his videos from 6 months back where he strongly advised to buy an Airking and/or Milgauss because of "guaranteed" discontinuation? Right..

Maybe they have more inventory of that model than they want so they're trying to spur some demand.

Who cares if it's discontinued? Watches that became extremely valuable did so because no one thought they'd be rare (or cared). If everyone is predicting it- nothing will happen. Like people hoarding Star Wars toys when the 3 new movies came out in the 2000s. It wasn't the same...

Thorpey, TPG, some SA from a TX AD all claimed the "John Mayer" Green Daytona was to be discontinued based on it being off the catalogue... Fill in the rest yourself lol

Paul Thorpe is a DONKEY and talks out his behind 99% of the time

Perhaps if he referenced the Rolex site and these were all gone, but this is a dealer.

Usually discontinuance rumor are aimed at increasing the price of specific models. Those created by a a grey seller can't be trusted, period.

This gets posted every single year. It seems to beyond most people’s comprehension that you cannot put every configuration into the hard catalog. It would be too long and too many pages. They (Rolex) rotate out configs in every annual update. Just because it’s missing in the hard catalog does not mean it is discontinued.

If it’s on ROLEX’s site then it’s still available. Forget any AD website as those don’t matter.

Paul Thorpe is hardly creditable nowadays.

tbh Watches of Switzerland don't have any watches to sell to the public. They have transferred all the missing models to their grey market website :p
