Sure. You don’t see them in windows and they sell over retail.

All three of those have also dropped a ton in recent months. Disproportionately so compared with most other models.

White and black Sky Dwellers aren’t far behind blue and have held where the Blue has dropped grey price. So maybe blue isn’t so hot. Definitely not hot if you paid £35K for one in the spring.

What if you’re male, <70yrs & wrist >7”? Daytona isn’t that hot if it looks small on your wrist and women comment they recognise it from pictures of Victoria Beckham.

Is hot a calculation? £grey/£mrsp multiplied by ‘hard to getness’=‘hotness’?

Maybe how you wear beats what you wear. Maybe ‘hot’ is cliched and isn’t really cool?

You know what I mean with hot watches.

Yes they have dropped, but you can still make x2 on most HOT watches.

And as long that you can make 1000 dollars easy on most rolex there will be empty windows.

I agree 100%. Wasnt either. Just not something I would consider but the RG YM? Yeah I probably would

I really like the rg ym personally and would consider it but the ss sd43 is the king of steel watches for me I feel the sub is better suited to the TT, than the sea dweller.
Thank you Jay

I agree as well. TT for a diver, the Sub is the way to go all day. IMO of course. Great watch just not for me

To the other members stating these 2 are easy, well congrats to all of you. I just know for a fact there are some A D's that act like even these 2 are super hard to get. So to the O P, if you like either I'd probably bite. If you dont then oh well. At least you are getting offers and for some thats way more than what they are getting

Both watches aren’t that high on the list of unobtainable.

TT SD43 was the first watch that I was offered that I passed on, next was the Explorer II Black dial, also passed on a Batman/Batgirl twice. Watches are coming in, be patient and wait for what you want. Of course in certain markets you might be SOL, I received my BLRO within a year and I’ve heard people getting quoted years or told it’s not happening.

I'd say this is a good sign. As others noted, these are not the most difficult to obtain of all the models, but a few months ago it seemed like it was a bit of a rarity for someone without a spend history to be offered these at all, and especially be offered two within a short period.

Hopefully this is indicative of a future of better availability on all models (and subsequent secondary dealer pricing that is lower than list instead of higher).

Nice to know. I agree that you should hang on for what you actually want and not settle. If they think you'll buy anything they'll try to sell you everything.

Okay okay okay I don't follow prices but 500usd for 2 mins of work is alot for someone who is 18-25 years old and that is the ones who come in all the time and send 100s of mails according to my AD... My AD knows they sent pictures to the grey dealers while they are at the shop..

Agreed, not much love here for it but I’m loving mine.
I am also collecting the SS version later this afternoon.

Nice.
Exactly. Now that the market has softened, some people want to pretend it's not noteworthy.

Maybe in Switzerland. Not everywhere else. There hasn't been an available Rolex in any of my AD's cases (3 locations) for 2 years.

It's a beautiful piece. But it's mainly for Big Guy wrists, hence not very popular Fits you perfectly BTW.

Looks great on you. Also think the TT’s look even better in person. The root beer GMT is an example of that for me. Never super into till I tried on then it won me over….not that any Rolex has to try too hard to win me over!

Those two watches seem to be pretty easy to get and are often “my first Rolex!” Or “Got offered <one of these two>” On the Rolex subreddit. I agree with others that ADs are using those to figure out do you want a certain watch or will you be happy as long as there is a crown on your wrist. If you like those particular watches then go for it but agree with others that you shouldn’t buy those unless you like them.

I owned the SS SD43 and it is a real beauty. Something about the black dial & one line of red text really makes the whole package stand out.

I just never got a good fit despite several strap changes so I sold it.

The TT SD43 looks great too. One of the better looking TTs along with the YM2 & GMT master 2 IMHO.

The YM RG just looks and feels luxurious through and through.
