50th Jumbo or 50th Green ROC?
If ofered and you had the choice between the 50th Jumbo or the 50th Green ROC, what would you opt for? I'm in a dilemma....

+1 and depends which 50th jumbo? Would take the platinum or skeleton jumbo in a heartbeat.
I own the green 50th ROC, I love it when the sun hits the dial, it is a wonderful dark emerald green hue. My complaint is in low light areas, the dial looks black. Also the ROC wears much larger than the jumbo, I prefer the jumbo footprint to the ROC.

The 50th Jumbo is more special. The reason is because you can still get the green ROC or even a green RO next year.

I have the black 15500st, RO QP in steel, 26331 ROC in rose gold, 42m ROO in rose gold, and a ceramic 44m ROO for my AP collection. Was expecting the 50th Green ROC this year, but have an opportunity to maybe get the 50th Jumbo steel instead. I like both, but maybe the 50th Jumbo might be more special?

The green looks amazing but a jumbo trumps a ROC any day of the week and twice on it's 50th anniversary. Green ROC and 15510 will still be there next year.

Well the 50th jumbo would be more special this year and I’d imagine the majority would go for that. For me I’d go for the green ROC simply because I’d prefer it. I prefer a bigger watch and having tried on the blue dial equivalent, it’s a stunner :-)

Steel versions for both? I'd talk the RG 26240 (in particular with blue or green dial) over a steel Jumbo. I'd take the YG Jumbo over almost anything in the catalog. But of course you already have a RG ROC, so your calculus is probably different.

50th jumbo. The Chrono will be much easier to get after the fact.

Are these both on steel? I'd pick the 16202. If it's between a steel 16202 and a RG green dial ROC, I'd go with the ROC.

For collectability one day going off to Christie's 50-100 years from now, the 50th jumbo. For daily wear...if you have big enough wrists, the Green ROC.
However, if I remember your photos with the QP, I might veer towards jumbo. I think you might be annoyed with how high the new ROC sits. As others have said, Really no wrong answer since you can get the non 50th rotor in the second go later right? |

As I said, seems like I’m Billy no mates - as no one wants the green ROC, tell the powers that be I’ll take it off their hands

For me personally I’d choose the ROC, it fits me better. Having said that, a 50th Jumbo of any flavour is a must have if available. I know it’s heresy but I’m not that much of a fan of the Jumbo Steel, however my wife loves it and wants one, so we shall wait and see what Santa brings…

Come on... jumbo my friend, no comparison.
ROC is awesome, but secure the jumbo first |

ROC is my vote - I haven’t handled a 16202, but I have tried on a 15202 and it was too small for me at 39mm and also too thin for my personal liking. Yes the 16202 is more collectible, but my personal preference would be the 26240 hands down.

Spoke to my boutique and they will submit me to corporate for the Jumbo. After giving it some thought, I think its the better choice. I was going to get a Jumbo next year anyways and probably will be better to be a 50th. Now the waiting game begins to see if they approve me for the piece. Thank you everyone for the input!

I don't know about the 15202, but the 16202 needs corporate approval.
