Best Spring Bar Tool for Deepsea
Hello friends!
I am sure that the answer lies deep within the recesses of this forum but hoping I can get a quick answer here. I bought a rubber B strap for my James Cameron and, for the life of me, cannot get the spring bars out with my existing tools. Tips are breaking off tools, etc. I took it to a Rolex AD who would not swap the strap as it’s not a Rolex strap. I’ve been swapping straps on other watches I own for years but not this one. So, it’s time to stop being cheap and get what works What do you suggest? Thank you!! |

Bergeon 6825! That'll get you sorted. Good luck.

I know the pain
I have found that changing from bracelet to a rubber strap is a major PITA. I did buy the tweezer tool, but the damn access to the spring bar area on my Rolex (116710LN) is the smallest opening when compared to pretty much EVERY other watch I have owned.
Heck, if Rolex would have left the drilled lugs I would have been eternally grateful. That said, once I had the bracelet removed (by my local jeweller) I am constantly changing between the many rubber straps (and NATOs) that I owned. Changing rubber straps is a freaking dream compare to the bracelet. I, occasionally think, hey man let's put the bracelet back on, but when that occurs it will preclude my constant strap changing from occurring with the frequency I enjoy now. The watch (and I think most Rolex models) are strap beasts as evidenced by the pictures attached |

Yes, I just cannot comprehend how difficult is it compared to every other watch I own. Disappointing. |
