DD40 Silver Motif Discontinued :(

Went to the AD and was told its discontinued. I think the silver motif dial was amazing.
Now I have to decide which one to settle for.
Is it possible to have service center do a dial change to a discontinued dial after purchase.

I don't think so, it's still on the configuration section of the Rolex website. They would have pulled it

I see the silver but not silver motif. Odd, where are you seeing it?

I stand corrected, cleared by browser caché and it's gone.

Personally I like the roman numerals better

The silver dial with deconstructed roman’s on yellow gold was a killer combo. One of the best imo. Resale aside, I prefer it over the olive dial RG.

The black and silver motif both discontinued. Seemed to go unnoticed for a while. For me, the black dial was my choice when choosing a DD40.

Wondering if the DD is moving away from the motifs and towards more stone dials, as a means of further bumping them upmarket? Now three; meteorite, Eisenkeisel, and onyx so far.

You also can’t get stick markers in RG any more

I agree that YG40 Silver dial deconstructed Romans is the prettiest :-)

It might be possible to get one via RSC service dial. You’d need to call your local RSC to see if this is possible.

edit: I mean to see if the silver motif dial is available

I think there was an earlier thread on that.
Both motif dials are gone.
Majority of the dials now have either Roman numerals or diamond baguettes.

The only possible dial with classic hour markers (YG or RG) is the champagne YG version.

I'm looking forward to seeing what they decide to replace the motif dials with.

They were the only 2 I liked.
