Re: the number of links... it sounds like you currently have it set up exactly the optimal way. The clasp is supposed to sit closer to 6 o'clock side so that the latching system is closer to that side. If you account for the actual width of the entire clasp (the undersurface, not the raised portion that is visible superficially while examining your wrist) then it will be even and balanced with the current configuration you have. Here's an example of my OP, which also has 4 links on the 6-oclock side and 6 links on the 12-oclock side. Although the raised aspect of the clasp looks as if offset, it's actually balanced and very comfy!
This is all good guidance for the general case, and certainly for a starting point, but I just wanted to add that all wrists are shaped differently and on me, for Rolex oyster bracelets, I require a "non parallel" setup. I.e. holding the watch as you are in this picture, the case is not parallel to the clasp. This is the only way I can get my Sub case to stay centered on the top of my arm. This seems to be because the clasp on my arm does not located itself in the center of the underside of my arm.

Thanks for the picture that’s helpful. On further examination mine is currently 4 links on the short side and 7 on the long side with the micro in the smallest setting. Currently the watch is a little tight. I’m thinking about moving one of the links so its 5 and 6 - still shorter on 6pm side and then moving the micro adjust to the middle position which should make it fit perfect for me.

As some of you know from my post a month ago I impulse purchased an Omega and the next day the OP 41, one of my dream watches was offered to me. I passed on the OP as my timing was horrible. 3 weeks later the AD reached back out to see if I still wanted to get the OP. Of course I said yes! AD stated they had just got one in and wanted to offer it to me. I made travel arrangements as this AD is located in a different state and picked up the watch today.

It's been an eventful day to say the least. My original itinerary was an 11am flight and a 5pm return flight. Literally flying in just to collect the watch - their policy is in store only, no shipping. Around 8am my departure flight got cancelled along with all of the outbound flights to the destination. Bummed about it, I went into the office to start my day and would figure out flying in tomorrow or Sunday. A few hours later I checked on flights and the airline added some new flights so I secured a 12:45pm departure and 10pm return flight. It's a bit insane I have to jump on a plane to buy a watch, but it was easy enough (45 minute flight) and my local ADs won't sell to me so it is what it is. This is part of the adventure I guess you could say.

In any event, the Silver OP 41 is even better in person. I had only seen / tried on a green exhibition model. This watch is so under the radar while at the same time being extremely classy, refined, and elegant. This is a true gentleman watch that can be worn with a business suit to jean and a polo. If you could not tell, I freaken love this watch. While this watch is an "entry level" Rolex, in my opinion, there is really nothing entry level about this watch. The one and only cost cutting measure in my eyes is the stamped clasp instead of the normal Rolex logo clasp. Aside from that, same movement as the Sub no date, same awesome brushed bracelet, same oyster case just without all the polish on the top surfaces, awesome sunburst dial, AR coating, and symmetric dial.

The only hiccup which I did not catch during the excitement of the purchase is the uneven number of links. I have 4 on the 6pm side and 6 on the 12pm side so the clap is not sitting even. I'm debating getting a link moved so it's 5 and 5.

Without further ado, two wrist shots from today. P.S. Try to ignore my hairy arms.

Congrats....looks absolutely fabulous; some things are just meant to be. Cheers!

Congratulations!

I’m wearing my silver dial DJ right now. Rolex does a great job with its silver dials.
