Anyone with a 320?

I know the 233 is the darling of this forum, but I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone with the 320 yet. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the 233, but I'm considering the 320.

Anyone?

LOL well that would explain it! I had a feeling that was the case.

maybe then I should ask, is anyone considering a 320?

Paying premium for GMT hand and PR at back (looks not nice from pictures) doesn't justify for me. I would stick to 312 if I was you. If you're flying across different time zones every week, then 320 might be up your alley.

233/dot is special in its own class regardless the price it commands.

From the lists at ADs i'd say there are a few looking at it, but i think it might prove to be less popular than the 312, or the 321 as there is a bit of talk between paneristi of the 320 being a bit half hearted, it doesn't have the proper indicator to tell if it's morning or night and the power reserve is a bit of an add on.

For me it comes down to what you like, if you like the 320 then go for it, although it might be worth just waiting a little while to see if discounts are available, the flip side to waiting though is if it proves to be popular then you'll struggle to get one later.

Yeah I noticed the lack of AM/PM indication. Also, a preowned or grey market 233 can be had for less than the MSRP of the 320. Another factor for me is financing. I can get interest free financing from my AD, but would have to pay cash for a preowned/grey market 233. I may just have to get the 312. We'll see.

Does anyone know the release date for the 320? I thought it was May 2009.

Yeah, i know a lot of folk go for 0% because they think it's free, but if you factor in the price of secondhand and discounts it's actually about the same. What i mean by this is taking out a two year loan with the lowest interest to get a 233 might mean you pay $10500 for a $9000 loan, but you're still getting a 233 for a good price.

But to be honest you've got to go with what you're comfortable with, i was the same, i wanted a 233 since they came out, but worked my way up, doing the same with a 312 might be a good option, it'll be easy to move on if you do have funds, or even a swap deal for a 233 at a later date, and with 0% it's not too bad as you can't really get 312s with much discount anyway

I will get one as soon as they come out and I am not waiting. I think its the best looking Panerai there is. PLUS I LIKE THE FACT ITS AN AUTOMATIC. The 233 is the high maintenance girlfriend of the 320.

I've tried 312 at our AD and I've changed my mind about it. It's pretty cool model with in house auto movement, 1950 case, and 9 marker to differinate from regular models.

Price for 312 is pretty good for in-house movement compared to 104.

I would say 312 is great introductory Panerai for first time owner.

Big quiestion is that would Panerai keep producing 104 into next decade? Considering what Swatch group has plans for ETA movements.

312 is a good looking baby... i had to think hard between the 233 and the 312 because of the price didffrence and i also loved the 312.. simple, clean, slightly domed crystal making it diffrent.. and above all, panerai movement..... good luck...
