So the watch is your 'baby' that she gave birth to.

Your baby OK?

Baby pics?

I hope labour wasn't too bad.

So now I guess 'relationship' with your SA is a whole different level to score a watch nowadays.

hey

One thing I noticed is the watch is not as heavy as I thought it would be all these years. And wears a little small...at least for me. But I Love it.
Will be rocking this forever unless they ever introduce a DD with bigger dial.

Congrats on that, it's a gorgeous piece. I think you will find the more you wear it the more its size will feel perfect. The 40DD is perfect in every dimension.

Thanks guys.

Still can't believe I finally own a DD40 in the exact dial I have always loved.
I have gotten every single watch I desired thus far in this watch game.

Just a few months ago, I took my dad on a stroll through the mall and we stopped by the store. I showed him a pic of the DD40...told him that's my dream watch. He couldn't believe the price for a watch..lol

Wish he was alive to go pick it up with me.

The DD40 Silver Motif dial is such a beautiful watch. Next stop in precious metal is a Rose gold AP ROC . Patiently waiting for my other girlfriend at the AP boutique for that :)

Sorry about the loss of your dad Hopefully looking at your new “baby” reminds you of your dad too.

I'm not sure I follow...is the "birth of your baby" a metaphor for the DD?

Anyway, congrats on the new watch.

Nice watch
Its not even so much a joke but more a mock version of the experiences I read people go through to get these pieces. Almost like you have to befriend and date the SAs....marriage even.

-Uncomfortable visits on a Monthly basis to store...or countless calls, emails to discuss watches etc
-Gift for ADs after purchase
-Will ADs find out if I sell my watch?

etc etc

All of this make buying a Rolex look like a marriage. Hence why I kind of wrote my experience as a funny story.
I don't sweat these things. If they don't want to sell to me I keep it pushing in life. But Thus far, I have been lucky to always get whatever watch I want from different ADs with ZERO prior purchase.
