Discoloration On Sky Dweller Hands

Hey All,

I just wanted to see if any one else has experienced a light fogging on white gold hands?

Pic for reference.

imgur (dot) com/a/89Pbxgb (sorry under the post limit for links)

Last year it went back to the AD to get fixed for the same problem, now it's back almost 1 year on the dot.

I am in the UK so it's not like it's drastically cold or massive changes in temps.

Is this a common thing? Non of my other watches exhibit this issue.

Here you go. Never saw anything like that on my old SkyD.

I've got two SS Sky dwellers with WG hands, one from 2018 and one from 2022. Nothing like that is visible. I'll be interested to read what transpires.

You could have added it using the .jpg link within (img)....(/img) where the parentheses would be replaced with square brackets.

Very strange looks like almost rub marks around hand stack, but even Rolex dont make the watch hands a firm called Aiguilles makes all the watch hands for all model.

I can see reflections on the hand of the 6 and 8 numerals from the 24 hour ring. Is the central matte area also a reflection? (I actually doubt it.) It appears the inside of the crystal is reflecting.

That’s odd. Haven’t seen this. Mine are not like that from 2019. May be just a smudge left from assembly or have the hands clouded more over time?

Op, Only time I’ve had issue with such was ring seal leak in case where moisture/temp could cause clouding or fog.
That was on my 16713 root beer on yellow gold hands.

I think its the bottom part of seconds hand touching the minutes hand slightly so it's rubbing that area.

I had that on one of my Oris divers. I figured it was movement lubricant making its way on the hands.

Good luck on it, OP. Hopefully they get you sorted again.

Hey there. I just noticed that my blue dial skydweller has the same problem. I was planning to bring it back to Rolex to get it repair but not sure if RSC will do more damage to my Skydweller. How long does it take to get the hands replace.

So I finally went to the RSC in London today.

Its apparently excess oil rising from the movement.

Annoying when I took it in last year they only cleaned the hands and nothing more which I find pretty poor for having the watch with them for 4 months....

Now they are going to do a full teardown and re lube. On a positive note they are fast tracking it so should only take 2-4 weeks this time.

RX0 when was your SkyDweller Made?
