Which is worth more? AP 26401RO or Daytona yellow dial OF

Alright. Now that we have a wrist shot.

I retract my previous statement to now say Daytona.

Of course it’s harder, but I’m also confident OP (and in fact most Singaporeans have enough horse power under the hood to solve the problem is they so chose to ask the question)

OP, I still wouldn’t do that exact trade, but I may consider seeing how the new ROO 43 fits. Looks like we may have similar wrist sizes. I didn’t feel the 44 fit right but felt i could pull off 43.

Also, if you chose to post in AP Sub forum, you must have subconsciously already chosen AP! No contest. Ha.

Those 44 ROO are impossible to wear. I have never seen anyone irl pulled off that beast. Watch bloggers don’t even bother doing wrist shots w them, lately.

Here’s a more interesting question: which of these two watches will help get you noticed, say, in a club. To flat out say: which will help you, eh, “close the deal”?

I used to own one. I agree it's a big watch and not for everyone. I still own a 44 CE and that's much easier to pull off due to it's color and weight.

I've never taken a liking to yellow gold watches. Just not my taste. If this was a comparison with a Platona, I guess my answer could be different.

Do not do this trade. I could see maybe if you were talking about a full gold daytona. But 100% not for one on a strap.

You are saying this after looking at the wristshot in post 29? https://www.rolexforums.com/showpost...9&postcount=29

Daytona overhyped...ROO lives up to the hype.

Sorry Genta, but the offshore has got to be one of the most brilliant additions to the horology world. Pack full of hardiness, done with exquisite finishing.

I’m not sure if I’ve missed something but are you suggesting that men wear a Daytona to attract the attention of women? Genuine question, asking for a friend.

Daytona, that AP looks like a dads watch on my son’s wrist. Super chunky and blocky and over done, too chunky on the pusher side white strap is not doing any favors to the watch. I don’t think it will be very desirable in the future once the fad of the name fades.

I feel the ROO has great potential, provided AP improve its ergonomics and wearability. The 44mm ROO is too big for OP’s wrist currently.

For marriage vetting, best to wear an AP. Keep for wife if they don't know what it is but otherwise have good taste. Maybe keep for wife if they do know and have good taste.

For fun club night out and general online forum bashing, wear Datyona OF, very good for sweaty atmosphere when the bass is thumping. Also built in shock absorption to protect the movement if VIP champagne table by DJ booth.
