GMT 1675 - worst insert of the week competion
Hi guys and gals,
Here is my worst 1675 insert of the week. In an effort for us to all learn a little more about spotting aftermarket inserts passed-off as genuine Rolex. I thought this one was hilarious, spot the biggest mistake to make when advertising dodgy gear!! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rolex-GMT...-127632-2357-0 |

To help new collectors out, there are several threads here in the Reference Library and other Rolex collector sites that may enlighten collectors to the attributes of fake inserts. Also, I believe I placed a link in your last thread on where you could find some information on identifying fake or aftermarket GMT inserts at another web site.
This insert on ebay that you have a link to is the most common of the fake or aftermarket inserts. Its called the "hooked 2" insert.

Thank you both… I’ve chuckled at “hooked twos” for a long time, and it is always fun to call out the fakes!

Thé old ‘watchmakers estate’ routine. Seems to be a glut of estates out there full of fake crap

Thanks John and Harry's etc, yes the infamous hooked 2's but there's an even bigger blunder, have you not spotted it yet?
All contributions appreciated. Steve |

The answer
If your interested....
Compare the 4 and 14 on picture 1 to the rest. Yes picture 1 has those pointed 4's other pictures terrible hooked 2's Then you realise picture 1 is a fake insert and the others pictures are another fake different. 2 fake inserts for the price of one. The worst, enjoy!! |
