My colleague in Sweden likes to say "There is no bad weather, only bad clothing". I'll be out in 25 below wind chill clearing the driveway tomorrow morning. Heated gloves over my Explorer though, I'm not insane.

Not all of California. Truckee and the Lake Tahoe area may beg to differ.

Work hard, play hard. Already had to run the saw on some major wind/storm damage to open up our mountain road. Trees are falling all over.

It't been under freezing since yesterday. Pool running on high, fireplace going, good bottle of wine and me wearing my Pepsi yesterday and Daytona today sitting reading this forum. Thx all for kicking in this post, it's a good read with good pics.

I was never a pet person in my younger days. I guess it was the travel, and busy life.

As a kid I grew with a dog (well multiple dogs ... we lived on a farm and most were hit by passing cars on the highway).

Now as an older fellow, I can't imagine life without one. She's the best ... always happy to see me, a steady and loving companion. A member of the family as much as any of us.

I'm keeping warm with a North Face fleece top, thick pajama bottoms and LL Bean slippers.

It's Cold, how are you staying warm? Stay on theme!

Even in FL, it’s not very nice outside. It’s been dipping into the twenties at night. Not good for indigenous trees, plants and wildlife.
