As promised, here are are shots of my James Cameron. I understand that not everyone will like it but I do, and that's all that really matters. Lee from Diamonds by Raymond Lee did the work. He took a new Rolex bezel without the ceramic and in it's place put 36 sapphire stones and 12 diamonds with one cut into an inverted V for the marker. It is fully functional and only rotates in the counter clockwise direction so as operate as a dive watch, although the deepest it's ever seen is the bottom of my pool.

Again, I can't say enough good things about Diamonds by Raymond Lee in Boca Raton, FL.

You got flamed for suggesting this mod but that looks absolutely fantastic. Seriously does.

I'm not the OP.
He simply asked a question if anyone had ever done this to a James Cameron. When I decided to go this route, I too search this forum and well as elsewhere to try and find pictures of what other people may have done. Not surprisingly, not many people would be willing to expose themselves to ridicule on an open forum like this. In the interest that someone else may want to follow this path, I'm putting mine out there to show others what I have done. I'm sure there are many (some have already opined) that would NEVER change anything on their watch (car, motorcycle, house, etc.). I wanted something that not everyone had, stood out a little bit (not too much), and would be reversible should I ever change my mine. I think I've accomplished that.

I am more in the camp of no modifications « usually «  but that looks epic to my eyes as I’ve already commented. It almost looks OEM if I didn’t know Rolex don’t manufacture such a watch. I really like it.

Would it be indiscreet to ask a ballpark on the cost?

it looks oem to my eyes too, like the 'SARU' GMTs / Gem set Subs, YMs etc. the sapphires have been set perfectly.

Wow, I love it. Where did his shop get the new Rolex bezel for this watch to put the gem-set blue sapphires and diamonds on? Normally I don't think you can buy the new bezel from RSC. How expensive is this kind of work cost?

Normally I don't like after market diamond set on Rolex but this one looks really good.

Thanks for your information!

Not gonna lie, that looks way better than I expected!

As custom work goes, that's done really well!

Thank you all for the compliments. I am very happy with the results. I'll start a different thread on my new acquisition but I was at my AD today where I purchased the JC and it was the first time she had seen the bezel. At first, she didn't realize what I had on and then when I showed it to her, she said it looked like something that Rolex would have done. I found that to be the biggest compliment of all. She did remind me that if I ever had to send it back to the RSC that I should remove it and put the original bezel back on. Many of you an inquired about the price. Keep in mind that diamond & sapphires are like any other commodity and are going to fluctuate with supply & demand. With that said, my out the door price was under $8k. When he showed me a Sub with the same style albeit many more stones going for $150k, I knew I had made a good investment. One that I get to enjoy. https://diamondsbyraymondlee.com/ is their website.
Tomorrow I'll post about the Christmas gift.
Merry Christmas to all.

I think this customized bezel design was based on Rolex 116659SABR (see picture below).
