Dilema???
You guys all know I like my Panerai's.
Well, Cindy ( my wife ), also has her 40 mm white dial auto, with 4 straps so far. She is left handed. For years we have been looking for a "left handed" watch for her. Well my AD calls me to let me know the 219 arrived this afternoon and I can drop by and pick it up, if I want. Do I just buy it & suprise her or talk this one over & see if she wants another Pannie for her collection? For the kicker, there is only a production of 200 units of this watch/year. It is a black dial, base with cut out numbers. Very sweet watch.

She used to wear my "ghost" all the time, until she got her 40 mm.

Small problem on "count the seconds".
This one is like my Radiomir. NO seconds hand.

Let me join the chorus and say Go for it, John. Who knows when the opportunity will present itself again.
If she doesn't want it, I would think there's a market for it out there in the Panerai universe.

I've already checked the secondary market, Would have no problem moving it.
I have a very good feeling she will love it, so not likely it will be sold. How do I sneak this one to Toronto at the beginning of next month? LOL

The eagle has landed. Hopefully pictures to follow.
It is really wierd to see a watch with the crown on the "wrong" side.

I know what you mean about the straps. I was pretty static for a while, now the bug has caught me. I am drooling over some of those straps out there. Love Atomics Gabo.
Wife has more strap options than I do already

I love the simplicity of the look and also the single keeper. After getting used to wearing the PAM gator strap on a deployant this thing is huge! I love it though. Those pre V buckles are massive. I must say thanks to Simon on Paneristi because he sold this to me for the proceeds to go to a UK childrens hospital which I was more than happy to donate to. I'll try and get some pics later tonight.. |
