I would like to know as well, especially if there are Rolex certified watchmakers.

I don't think that Rolex actually "certifies" independent watchmakers any more, although many of them will be Rolex trained and should be able to show a certificate.

You might check over in our "Links" Board. There is a thread there for members to add recommendations for independent watchmakers in their area..

Mills Jewelers on Chestnut St. used to be an AD, and the repairman there is a Rolex trained/certifed technician who is very knowledgeable.

Robt Mills Jewelers. I'm not sure if they are still there. I took my wife's date just there for a repair about 12 years ago to avoid sending it to Rolex New York. Besides taking forever the stem was real hard to wind and I took it back and waited more time to get it back. I will only send my Rolexes to the Rolex service center for repairs.

I'd trust Nick, on Jewelers Row, with any watch. He has some classics in his display case, and is third generation. Big guy, very muscular, huge hands, dark hair. About three shops up [Samson is one way] on the left.
