Hi all:
I am here for today only. I've missed this place immensely. Work is absolutely killing me lately. Michigan is in the toilet with the bankruptcies of Chrysler and now General Motors. We have another $1.7 billion dollars to cut out of the budget and the lawmakers are being stupid because it is an election year coming up. They have stripped services to the point that they are even sending federal Medicaid dollars back to Washington to not appear discriminatory in their cutting agenda. This is so lame because it hurts the most vulnerable people imaginable in our state. If anyone is interested in some of the politics behind what cutting taxes does to a State look at www.mitaxtruth.com. We have led the country in cutting taxes and programs for the last decade and other states are just now doing what we have been doing for years. In spite of all of the cutting Michigan has not returned to prosperity. They have cut too much where Michigan no longer looks attractive as a business investment State. The schools are going down, the roads are the worst in the country, the partisan politics are stifling, etc. We are about to have another shut down in the government because the two sides will not compromise. This is what adding term limits has done to our fine State. Rather than fix this debacle now voters want to compound the problem and make them a part-time legislature. They also want to give them next to nothing for pay and benefits so it will be less attractive to do anything positive in Lansing. Before term limits they use to compromise on bills as they knew they had to work together. Now they cannot get beyond their partisan bickering and hatred. I always laugh now when I read editorials and commentaries on health care. The people who do not want government involved are clamoring about how you won't have your doctor's making the medical decisions, someone else will tell you which doctor you can see and, what procedure they are going to pay for, what medications you can be on, etc. Hmm; Sounds like the existing for profit insurance companies and HMO's that we have dictating our medical decisions of today. Medicaire operates with a 3% administrative fee while private, for profit insurance companies operate with a 20% administrative fee. Sounds like some executives are getting concerned about their $10 million dollar annual salary plus bonuses for denying medical care in the private sector. I pay $1,800 per month for my married employees with children, $1,400 for my married couples, $1,000 for my single employees for their medical and dental plan. With all of this Medicaid money going back to the feds my premiums will go up because we subsidize those that have no insurance. Our health benefits are the largest part of our budget. If we do not go to some form of government health care plan, where everyone is made to contribute something to their own health care, we will have to add to the ranks of the uninsured because we will no longer be able to afford these kinds of premiums. The health care premiums have far exceeded our inflationary rate for many years, making health care unaffordable, except for the rich or the poor. My program is in serious jeopardy because they are looking at cutting out the coordinating agencies where the federal block grant dollars go. I am scrambling to market to self-pay clientele, working on a partnership with a large behavioral health network, re-doing our web-site to attract self-pay clientele, lobbying, networking, and running my butt off. I think I am winning the battle but it's still too early to tell. If anyone is interested in looking at my web-site it is www.harborhall.com. It is under construction now but coming along. I still have a lot of artwork to add, pictures, staff profiles, pricing page, a PayPal donation link, name branding for the search engines, etc. I have been going to my least favorite city a lot lately; Lansing, Michigan where the capital is. I have been working till 7:00 PM most nights, on the road, meetings, on the phone, etc. for weeks. I am hoping to have this all settled in a couple of months and I can get back here on the forum on a regular basis. I haven't even logged on but once or twice in the last couple of months. I am sure the Watch Out section is in very capable of hands. It looks like you guys have been working your butts off to continue making E-Bay a safe place to be. I have missed all of you and think about you often.

Terry, you're still the man. Good luck and stay safe, wherever you go.
JP By the way, many of miss you here, so drop by every now-and-then and spread some cheer around - if only for a minute.
