Go try it one, but with a mind to pass if it doesn't suit you.

Cheers for all the advice, I spoke with the AD who apologised and they agreed to put me onto the waiting list for the Deepsea JC and backdate it to January 2020, when I originally enquired. Very happy with this outcome, as some of you mentioned it just didn’t seem right spending over £11k on a watch i didn’t instantly fall in love with.

Does make you wonder if it’s that easy for the dealers to do then just how open to persuasion some could potentially be from certain influential customers.

You can go see it in person, you may end up liking it. Otherwise wait for your first choice.

The JC is a great looking watch. I can't imagine it taking much longer to receive. Good luck

I’m a huge fan of the SD, if I was in your shoes, I’d be very excited.

I also wonder if this is some AD tactic. I had registered interested at an AD for a datejust 41 blue dial , fluted bezel, jubilee bracelet. I get some random call one day telling me that they have a datejust 41 two tone gold with some random dial. I was like no thanks I was waiting for the blue dial fluted bezel, jubilee bracelet. The lady tried to play it off like this is what I had requested. This is actually the same dealer that sold my wife and I an OP 34 telling us it was a 31mm. I was shocked when we got home and I looked at the warranty card and it was an OP 34. I called her to let her know and said look its not a big deal but FYI you gave us the wrong info. She said no I didn't they don't even make an OP 31.... These rolex dealers are just completely out of hand.

It is a pass for me, but I'd try it on to be sure.
