My Summer Vacation.

I took ten days off from work this month and thought I would share some pics from Cape Cod. These are from the Falmouth fireworks on the 4th. and some shots of Marthas Vineyard specifically Oak Bluffs. We went over on my friends boat and it took about 35 minutes from his house.

Bruno, you have a lot of friends!

I miss the Cape (assuming that's the location).

I'd love to go to the cape and it's surroundings (I'm fascinated by whales and whaling etc)

Nothing like being close to the sea. For those of us who do, it's easy to forget how lucky we are.

Great pics my friend!

Then you'd love the island of Nantucket as they have a great whaling museum.

For me one of the best parts of my week is driving down to the Cape on fridays and going over the Bourne bridge and getting that first whiff of Salt air.

I would love to visit Nantucket. It's a place my heart dreams of. I have a great fascination with "The Whale", Melville and the history behind those men who risked all and received little for the industry of the area there.

Martha's vineyard also has a special place in my geek heart.
They filmed my favourite movie of all time there...you may know the one, it's not that well know, small independant picture.
It's about a shark with huge jaws who attacks people and kills them by biting them with it's powerful jaws and it ends by eating robert shaw with it's jaws before biting down on a scuba tank and crushing it in it's jaws.
I think it's called The Shark That Chased Chief Brody!

We're only about 15 minutes from the coast here...it might not be the Atlantic but it is still breathtaking to be there.

So do you want to visit the town of Amity on Martha's Vineyard? Its actually Edgartown.
