Perhaps our American cousins aren't that skillful at doing things with their feet.

When you think of popular sports in the US, no real sport uses sustained footwork with tricks, control and power.

Fairplay, them NFL boys are quite nimble and they have to kick field goals but is that the only real sport using ones feet in the US....well apart from MLS which isn't setting the world alight.

Thats the passion for it world wide. The fans live and breathe the game sometimes.

There will always be a nasty elemnt in the games...Heck the L.A lot even call themselves The Riot Squad although they are a bit mild mannered

"David Beckham? He's not the Messiah, he's a very naughty Boy!"

I love the game and love my team.

This is still my favourite football related thing of all time.

Martin will testify...it sums up a fan's highs and lows.

MVB was one of my favourite players...he was awesome....a genius.
What a Dutch team that was. They tore us apart.
How did they never manage a world cup win?

The shakes. Becoming overconfident and sloppy. Not the real killer's instinct. Too many prima-donnas, too much 'Wein, Weib und Gesang'. Need I go on?

The last goal (Euro '88) is the absolute cracker! What a goal! A bit lucky, but what control of the ball (I taught him everything he knows ).

Van Basten was a great player that goal against Russia? was one of the best I have ever seen. I think that AC Milan team he played in was equal if not better than the great Liverpool sides of the late seventies
