15500 conversion kit discontinued?

As summer is coming, I emailed AP boutique about conversion kit and rubber strap for my 15500ST.

Was told that these are discontinued without other alternatives.

Are you guys hearing the same?

I have heard both that it officially is and unofficially there are still ways to get it from inside the order system if you know what to do (navigating the order system). Maybe check with service center and not the boutique. They usually know better on parts questions.

Makes me think… now that the new production Royal Oaks have the thinner bracelet system, can you even get links on the previous bracelet (15500,26331, etc)? Are there even any models currently in production that use this older brace style (maybe 15407 or others that carried over)?

I'm quite sure they have to provide spares for a number of years, and links for the bracelet are clearly spares...

The rubber one I guess counts as an accesory. Are there any good aftermarket ones for the 15500? I've seen lots offered for the Offshores, but not really for the regular RO.

Admittedly, this is a very positive take....but maybe they are close to releasing a quick disconnect system that can fit on the RO?

I really hope that's the case! When I tried the get the conversion kit for my 15510, Clearwater said there wouldn't be one until they released the quick change versions (they guessed sometime in 2023).

Would the quick change version fit the 15510st?

The quick change plots from the 43mm offshores won’t fit the 15510. AP would have to release quick change plots and straps specifically for the 15510 form factor. Fingers crossed they can make it work!

I wonder how much a retro fit of the quick strap change system would cost on a 15500...

Yes links are still available for the 26331 an should be for a very long time

If this is a sign that the easy change system for RO is on the way, it would be great!
Almost slap myself for not getting one while it’s available.

Do we really want the easy change system on the RO? I mean, I prefer that they keep its original system/design than switching to something new. Or maybe it's only the 16202 that will stay true to the original design.

ROO offshore is a different story. ROO line is easier to experiment with than the RO. Few months ago my SA showed me a ROO and the quick change system was broken, not sure how durable it actually is.

Don't think Patek Philippe will introduce a quick change system to their Nautilus line.

Yes for me.
I don’t think having more strap options will make the RO a lesser watch.
Quite the opposite

This is the first I have ever heard of one breaking. Yes, the ROO is easier to experiment with....then after the experiment is proven to work, you expand it to other watches.

I really see no downside to making it available. If people don't want it, they can stick with the old plots.

I would try to be first in line for that!
