2006 116509 clasp
Does the 2006 18k wg daytona model have smaller rectangular clasp locking piece than the newer models?
Thanks Phil |

Going purely by memory here but the older clasps had a crown that sat perfectly centered over the locking piece. The locking piece had a curve to it. The new clasps have a crown that overhangs the notch and the piece itself is rectangular like on the current GMTs and Subs.
The current clasp looks like what's on the current GMT. |

Curious to get more input around the older style clasp. Is the rest of the bracelet the same? Does the old clasp feel flimsy?

Yes 2007 might have been the cut off for old as I have found 2008/2009 generally to have the new one. I love the 116509 but for me it's a deal breaker if I can't have the new style clasp.

Those older ones may even have been replaced at service--although I'm not sure if Rolex will allow that.
