Strange observation
For about two months, I’ve noticed almost zero incomings for a BLRO on our forum, neither jubilee nor oyster. That’s for pieces bought from an AD. There have been a few incomings from the grey market for sure.
There has been so many incomings for Daytona and other hard to come watches. But Pepsi has been missing lately. Makes me wonder, if production issue rumors are indeed true or am I living under a rock? |

Hope it is because they are upgrading the case away from the supercase.

Thought it was fairly well established (or at least there was substantial evidence) that they ship in batches. Probably Daytona time (and there’s a big incentive to cycle through all remaining inventory of the 11 Daytona left with distributors).

Given almost everyone who does not own a BLRO, desires one to some extent, I find it difficult to believe that nobody has been able to source one in recent times from the AD. I’d love to be proven wrong. |

There was a thread regarding the Pepsi and how Rolex are having trouble with the bezels again so production is slowly down. Quite a few people claimed they heard this for the ADs *♂️

Well seems like most people here already own one, that’s perhaps why ! Seriously perhaps you are right and there are issues with the bezel color…… Again! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

BLRO production was to be reduced for part of 2023. I believe quality control was an issue.

OP, from what I understand, references seems to deliver to ADs in “batches”, so that could be why we see groupings of Daytonas, Subs, GMTs etc., incoming here

If black is easier to produce, and there are two new versions (TT and PM) both of which have a half-black bezel, and Rolex can more easily produce those bezels for higher priced watches, where do you think the production capacity will be?
Though no official discontinuation, I assume priority for BLRO bezels will go to WG models since it’s far higher price/margin than the steel and there’s no alternative bezel to fit to those watches already in production. Steel can go BLNR with no other changes needed. |

Agree with most, but the most in demand is the sub. There are less GMTs in each configuration so the aftermarket price is higher, they are more rare. I mention in another thread I saw a recent video that by far the most calls a large grey market company gets is for the black sub, date or no date. They have to constantly restock to keep up with the demand. Rolex makes more black subs than any of them because of that, thus more available and a lower markup. Collectors, 100% the GMTs are more desirable. If they fix the lugs they will be even harder to get.
