Oxidation, Dial Spotting on 18238 DD
Gents - I have the opportunity to buy an unpolished, full set 18238 birth year Day Date. However, there is slight oxidation on the hands and spotting on the dial. I love anything untouched, but would this concern any of you? Or is it just a sign of an original piece, and I should view it as a benefit versus a problem.
EDIT: the alternative is another 18238, but watch only (no box, papers, etc), which appears to have been (lightly) polished, and perhaps has a replacement (two dot) crown, but LOOKS flawless. |
