Submariner date

What are the nicknames of the submariner date with the blue ceramic and black ceramic? Both have Oystersteel and Yellow gold. Are they very difficult to get compared to say, a Root Beer GMT II?

Stick with the references rather than the nicknames, it avoids confusion as both of those have a 5 digit version, and 2 different 6 digit versions. The latest being 126613LB (blue) 126613LN (black)

I just noticed that the GMT also has a black and Oystersteel yellow reference 126713GRNR but with a jubilee. Is the gmt or Submariner more popular?

The version of the GMT you are referring to has just come out so there is pretty much zero chance of getting your hands on one anytime soon without some purchase history.

Sadly, the same could be true for the Sub when it comes to buying at retail, but the mark up isn't as high as it is for some sports models.

The 126613LN is probably the one you would have the most chance of getting closest to retail.

Do people like jubilee? Too dressy in my opinion.

Bluesy and two-tone black sub?

They're all popular. Don't let some stranger influence you. Get the one you'd like most looking down at your wrist.

Don't overthink it.

I wouldn't concern yourself about what is "popular" or what "people like" other than how it dictates whether or not you will be able to get your hands on one.

Just pick the watch you like the most and start from there.
