Advice on trade in

I sold my hulk a couple of years ago and miss it.

Can buy a 2019 model for 17,250 but will trade in my 2017 anniversary sea dweller.

Any thoughts??

How much will they give you for the SD43?

The sub LV is a great watch wouldn’t part with mine - I think the price has softened quite a bit over the last year - even so big premium over the list as was and I would be loathed to pay that for one plus you will likley get the rough end on the trade in for what is a great watch.

If you have to do it I would take my time and see if I could find a private sale or exchange ( noting required due diligence ) to ease the delta

Good luck whatever you do

17250 in dollars or pounds? That would be a lot if that’s pounds.

I guess part of the answer lies in what other pieces you have in your collection. If you have a black Sub too, then trading the SD43 or the Sub towards the LV kind of makes sense and leaves you with at least one to rotate with your LV.
If you don't care about keeping a black dialed diver alongside the LV, take your time and shop around for the best deal for the LV and trade in / sale value for your SD43.
Good luck.

I do. Rolex is a big purchase for some. I want a new SD and would like the experience of buying new. I can get one tomorrow but 3 K is a lot of money.
To me. And yes , there would still be a sense of relief if I just bought one tomorrow. I g back and forth on this.

He asked for thoughts - I gave mine. We all have different budgets and viewpoints. It's the collection of those that makes this whole thing work. If he is considering it then it probably means he can do it. None of us need a Rolex so let's check that at the door.
