Best of both worlds for less than the 118238?

Then you have a quintessential classic rolex dress watch collection.

I have a 7-3/4” wrist and wouldn’t consider a 40 mm DD. With the 36 mm you get to enjoy much more of the bracelet vs (IMHO) a hubcap on your wrist.

Most of all, like others have said, personally I wouldn’t rack up a bunch of debt with what it sounds like you’re looking to achieve in the near future.

Just my opinion.

Best of luck on it all.

Keenan

I thought about this as well. For 15-17 I could get the 18238 and just polish the lugs to get that modern look. As far as the lighter bracelet @jgottsman11 showed me the magic of rolliworks- so technically if the bracelet on that watch were to ever start to stretch I could always let rolliworks fix it. So that is definitely an option

And, of the 3 options, I really like #2, but it's personal preference.

All that said -- if you think we're all nuts and you want the Datejust 41, just get it dude.
You'll only have regrets if you don't go with your heart/gut.
I don’t think your nuts at all. I agree and really do love the DD

i think 36mm looks good , biceps etc ok not an issue.

The purple might want to go to avoid Guido references?

Lol.

Yep, I’m content with 36, just not content with the prices I’m finding

Those 36 DDs look great on you. Don’t second guess yourself. Just pick the dial you really want.
