The DD would be my first choice before buying the GMT.

DD40. It’s THE gold Rolex.
Also, the Presidential bracelet is unique to the DD and quite special and iconic.

The DD is no doubt gorgeous but more dressy than the gmt or gold sub.
Get what you like. I picked this.

My opinion would depends on what you wear most often. If it's on the slightly dressier side I would go DD. If it's very casual, the GMT (or Sub).

For me the DD is one of the most beautiful watches around and the President bracelet is amazing

DD for sure !!

This is my first all-gold watch (bracelet and case). The DD40 was an obvious choice, yellow gold too.
I had hesitated with the platinum version but for several reasons (the warmth and the unique feeling of yellow gold but also to take pleasure gradually), the yellow gold version was just the watch I needed.

So I recommend the DD without a shadow of a doubt!

Not to be crass, but the DD looks as though they’ve been stuck in a time capsule since 1956.

I went with the GMT for my first because I prefer the look of the professional models. Have owned DDs as well. Go with the look that suits you best.

definitely DD, because this reference is PM in it's essence. GMT initially is an SS reference.

FIRST SOLID GOLD WATCH DD40 or GMT

Gold sport watches are gaudy to me, I’d go for one of these, and did!
