Which Daytona bracelet did you use?
What serials are the “fat” font? and coudser, more sand blasted, granier platinum sparkly dials???

Would 2000 or 20001 K or P serials have the car don’t and grainer dial?

Go for the very early 16622’s. In addition to the coarser more sparkling dial the YM print in red uses fat font.
Look at watchwallpapers from Jocke with beautiful pictures.

The bracelet from the YM was always solid, no worry’s about that.

The protruding lugs I find an icon of its time and quite like them.

I fitted a new Oysterclasp from a DJ to give it the modern feel and because I don’t like the clasps with the safety latch.

For the fun I wear it sometimes on a super jubilee as well

The 5 digit's end links make it a no go for me.

So i got. 2000 YM today. The dial difference wasn’t as pronounced as i thought it would be. There def is a difference the older dial is better imo. The biggest difference was the bezel, it’s darker than the newer version and the polishing font is bolder. All in all the old one is better, but the clasp is definitely chincy compared to the new one.

I prefer jubilee bracketed and would upgrade the bracket to the jubilee

the red date wheel is also a nice touch.

I would like to add a jubilee to the older 2000 YM. Are there different Jubilesles? i know there is a super jubilee. But what would it be looking for and that would upgrade the clasp, correct??

there is a clear distinction between the newer platinum yachtmsster and the older one. the newer one is creamier in color and less course in the grainy look the older one looks darker, grayer and more course.

which do you prefer?

i have the newer one and thinking of reading it in for the oder version.
There is a big difference. And when I bought one from a gray, I asked point blank: pebbly platinum dial or the painter brass. I’m not sure when Rolex made the switch but to me it’s what distinguishes this beautiful watch: the sublime sparkly platinum dial or the dull painterd brass. Ask. The seller will know.

I’ll post pictures of the glittering platinum once I’m back home from a road trip.

I guess you are comparing the 16622/116622 pt dial to the 116622/126622 slate dial (ex-rhodium)? If so, then yes, the slate dial is painted brass indeed.

I've seen those. Kind of bucktooth/new BMW grill thing going on.
