I looked at Rolex for over twenty-years before deciding to purchase this watch, that cost more than the first new car I bought. I bought it to replace a Breitling SuperOcean I wore for over ten-years with a problem. Very disappointing, indeed.
To be honest, these things can happen which is why you have warranty. The important thing is the after sales service. If they sort out the issue in professional manner then it should be fine.

Once an IWC I bought had to be sent for warranty repair few days after I purchased it. Very good service from both AD and IWC and it was sorted efficiently.
