126719 Meteor Dial pics

I have a DSSD, a RO and a ROC and I’ve found I no longer wear the DSSD because it’s too too heavy and am therefore looking to sell/trade it towards something else, probably another Rolex because I’d like something sturdy that I could easily swim with and that can take a beating.

I had a blue dial yachtmaster but sold that because it was too small at 40mm (this is when I was wearing the DSSD as a daily). I’m a rather large build with round 7.75” wrists. I’m hoping that my new found love for the slightly smaller fit means a 40mm GMT would fit the bill, especially one as special as the meteor dial.

The RO’s, despite only being 41mm definitely wear bigger than that, and I’ve grown to really like the size.

I love the way the meteor dial looks (at least in pics), on the GMT and am hoping people out there with larger wrists 7”+ could post some pics of theirs.
Ideally I can try one on someday but despite DavidSW having some - he’s in FL and I’m in SoCal so that makes it harder.

Thank you,
~Pat

Here you go one dress and one casual. Great watch - one of the best Rolex IMHO. If you can get one I highly recommend!

The Meteorite Daytona is WG and will be heavier than your DSSD

I don’t mind weight, but the height of the DSSD is significantly more in comparison - that’s what I’m looking to switch up.

This is reigniting my desire for one of these to the point I may have to do some trading around to get one!

I love the GMT White Gold Meteorite and were money no object I would have one BUT..... I'd much prefer it with black hour marker surrounds and hands. Like the Explorer II Polar. I just think it would suit the light dial better.

I say go for it. Personally, I’m a big fan of the meteorite dial. Pics are good, but don’t do the dials justice. In person, the dials glow. And each is truly unique.

Amazing pics, especially those first two!! Wow.
Thanks - it’s tempting but I really need to try one on first to be safe!

I’m also still hoping the AP AD in Japan tells me she has a 15510BC in white gold… so I’m torn but that gives me time to try one of the GMT’s on… possibly!

Ok damn, that Daytona looks great! That’s even smaller so a no go for me, but stunning! Well done!

Funny thing - I had the DSSD and my first AP was a 43mm ROOC (ceramic and steel) which was fun and got a lot of wrist time - until I bought the ROC, then it sat. Maybe it was the wrong ROO, but it quickly fell to the way side once I got the ROC and RO. I have looked at some of the other ROOs (taupe and titanium), but I’m not sure.
Especially if I sell the DSSD I feel like a Rolex should be in the rotation…
Yours look great on you!

I also wore a deepsea for many years. Was my favorite watch for a while.

Id wear the roc more but I’m very hard on my watches and hate scuffing it so wear it less often. That’s the only reason I wear the offshores so much more.
