Could a guy wear this watch?! Opinions needed!!
Hey all, I was considering purchasing an all SS watch and have came across a SS DJ with 18K white gold fluted bezel, with white MOP diamond dial. It is a 36mm casing and looks pretty nice. Although I was just curious if this is considered a ladies watch? Also is a 36mm casing too small for a guy? (although I'm a 6'1 155lb marathon runner so I don't usually wear huge watches, although I wear a 40mm Yacht now). Any opinions would be great! Thanks! Of course, it's a lovely watch, even though I prefer it in TT.

Beautiful watch, if I had a small wrist I would not hesitate wearing it.

Yes, but it may be pretty small on you. Not my style. But I may not have much style

I wear a very similar watch - different dial. I find this to be one of the most comfortable watches and do not have any concerns about the size - certainly not considered a ladies size watch although many ladies do wear them. This watch looks great when worn with formal gear and also looks good as a weekender - you will be amazed at how this highly polished SS DJ will smile back at you.

I would not wear it.
No gems on men's watches for me and it is too small.

frankly, I think that watch is a little dainty...I wouldn't..watch sizes are changing, particularly for women. 36mm is practically a ladies watch now. Buy it for your wife.

Absolutely! 36mm will always be a man sized watch to me! The other thing with that size is that it is supremely comfortable. I say go for it, what a stunner!
Oh yes, I really like the look of the diamonds on a silver dial, not sure why but on any other colour, especially black they end up looking like something one would get on a market stall! Like everything in life, bigger is not always better! |

thanks for all the opinions thus far! i actually showed it to my wife who really like it, which scared me a little! I already bought her a 31mm rose gold/SS diamond black mother of peral DJ last year for Christmas! Although the bracelet is 2mm smaller too, I think I could pull it off because I have small wrists...Although my Yacht doesn't look to big at all on me either....isnt there a new DJ 40 or 41mm coming out real soon?

Sure ...it is not my cup of tea, but if it smiles back to you that is all that matters.

Certainly, especially if it has a black dial.

That question has been asked before, Marc. And the answer is always - no. The 904 Steel on the GMT will run circles around the 18K gold in terms of hardness. And it's an even match on the YG watches. So, no, I've never had a problem with scratches. And even if I did, a good service from RSC would take them right out.

Yes, you should wear it, it's beautiful. I have a similar one but with the Jubilee bracelet and a white MOP dial. DJs are so comfortable. I hardly know I have it on compared to my GMT IIc.

Not for me. Too small and I am not a diamond fan on watches at all. Especially for men. Too Las Vegas. But the bottom line is that if you like it get it, wear it and enjoy it.

If you like it, get it. I personally, would never wear it. 36 mm is too small for me and I don't like diamonds on men. Get what you want, though!

36mm is definitely not too small for a man. Only exception would be if you have unusually large wrist size, and it does not sound like you do - right?

While that watch is one attractive beauty, I'm not a big fan of diamonds for men.
Replace those baubles with WG Romans, boost up the same watch to 41 mm and you've got an out and out winner!! JJ
