New Explorer 40

Picked this up from an AD in London last week after registering interest a few weeks after watches and wonders.

Its a substantial watch. Weighs more than I expected, the build quality is incredible and the details on the dial are great.

Size wise its perfect for a 7" and up wrist

Great watch! I don't have one of those yet, but hope too before too long.

Congrats ! Does not seem different from the Explorer 39 though… except the Explorer text positioning

Great acquisition! I wonder whether Rolex use the former Air King case for this model without the faraday cage but with the new movement?

It’s quite a lot different when seen side by side.

The bracelet to watch head propertions make its a lot more pleasing to the eye. Also the crown is much bigger than the 39. Got to be 50% bigger I’d guess

Great looking watch. On paper the 40 didn't make much sense to me, but I saw one last week and have to say I think it is pretty awesome!!

Not a huge fan of the EXP I, but imho I think they made the right move to offer both sizes of 36mm and 40mm

Something for everybody!
