UK Repair - Pre Series A 1997 Luminor Marina
Hello
I have the above watch. Wempe used to service and repair it for me without any problems and that I am aware used age appropriate parts. The watch winding crown keeps detaching from the mechanism leaving the watch unable to be wound. Apparently the issue is a small screw. Russell Talerman have tried three times to fix the watch. Stephen Hale were just appalling and I have had in my head not to take my watch to Panerai direct as they are not best places to look at older watches. Two questions. It does strike me that the repair needed is tiny. Surely Panerai can handle this sympathetically? Secondly can anyone recommend any other UK watch repairers - preferably South West / London? Thanks |

I would honestly take it to the Panerai boutique.

I’d be careful taking it to Panerai boutique. I’ve used About Time Watch Repair in Cheshire. It took Sean a couple of times with my eta Panerai 210 but his communication was great. It turns out not all eta’s are equal! I’d have no fear sending my other 2 to him. Pm sent.
