The age old PM question, Day Date, GMT or Submariner and in which order?

The question is as old as the Day Date, GMT and the Submariner since they (GMT and Sub) became available in precious metals.

If you could pick 3.
Which ones are your favourites and in which order would you get them?
I'm not including Platinum on the list since it's about 50% more expensive than the solid gold models (and of course that would be everyone's choice if money was no object )

Day Date 36mm/40mm
1. Yellow Gold
2. White Gold
3. Everose Gold

Submariner
1. Yellow Gold (blue or black)
2. White Gold

GMTII
1. Yellow Gold Jubilee bracelet
2. White gold
3. Everose Gold

I would go with the Everose DD40 with a Sundust dial, White gold Submariner and a Yellow Gold DD36 or 40.

1. YG GMT ( I just received the TT and the bezel is awesome)
2. WG Sub because it's under the radar and only WIS truly appreciate it.
3. RG DD 40 in Sundust or Olive Green

I did Submariner, then Daytona, then GMT Master II. I honestly don’t have a favorite, but I do prefer the look of yellow gold over white gold.

For me, it's all about the white metals these days, so it would be the WG variants of each category with one meteorite dial.

For example,

WG sub, WG meteorite BLRO, and WG DD, or
WG sub, WG BLRO blue dial, an WG DD meteorite.

1) WG DD
2) RG DD
3) YG DD

I love simple, clean watches that more or less just tell time. I have zero use for the complications on the Sub/GMT, so a treasure chest of DDs for me. But I'd probably combine the WG/YG, get the Platinum, and save like $20k in the process and just have a PT and a RG.

Age old question?

I must have blinked. A lot.

If I could have three I would buy a WG BLRO and keep the remainder of the money.

I prefer SS professional references, so I’d just stretch the budget and buy a PT DD

It’s not an age old question, in fact, it’s quite simple to answer. The watch that is always PM., the iconic Day-Date! I mean, a dive watch in PM, that’s just silly when you think about it.

It is quite the contrary, there is no metal more suitable for the harsh marine environment than the inert PM.
SS doesn’t even come close
