Nice! PL is one of my favorite restaurants on the planet. I've had so many good meals there. My parents offered to take my fiancée & I out to PL before our wedding, but we politely declined. We had other plans (went to Marea for a tasting menu, was blown away) and didn't want to have to squeeze into our clothes the next day hahaha

An engraved Leatherman. No guy doesn’t like a good multi tool. And if you go for the Wave tool the handy glasses screwdriver with a small file of the sides is perfect for jubilee bracelet screws!

Interesting reply’s shows the difference in folks here , pretty sure few I know ever owned a robe as an adult or know what a pocket square is ,and never once had a shirt that used cuff links ,and most of their wallets have badges in them . Nice pair of sunglasses is a good idea though .
I gave mine the same thing almost 14 years ago. Folding ones. I was inspired by one my dad carried everyday that I could remember since I was a child. His was his gift for being the best man at his best friend’s wedding.

The rest of your post sounds like you’re describing my type of people

For the brothers involved (my 2 plus the 2 soon to be brothers in law), I gave them each a bulova watch from Macy’s ($200-250 Range, nothing fancy nor impressive to WIS) hoping to inspire some appreciation for watches vs bare writers/apple watches.

Everyone loved the gifts but I have found that in the 3.5 year since, nobody uses any of it. In retrospect I would have done gift cards.

Everytime I have been a groomsman I get lousy flasks that are low quality and say “so and so wedding on so and so date at so and so location.” Would nor recommend going this route either lol.
I'm looking to get two watches for my groomsman. Both of them to be worn in business casual situations. One has to be on a bracelet. Quartz OK and maybe preferred for the bracelet one. Used OK but nothing too vintage. Microbrands ok but i want to avoid homages. What are your suggestions?

I would not give anyone a used watch, who wasn’t a “collector”. So many nice brands in the $5-700 dollar range, and they are mechanical. There are some beautiful modern Seiko Alpinists in that range. They are 39 mm, can definitely work for sporty or business casual. Check them out.
If you want to spend less, the newer Tissot PRX’s look great, and come in quartz or auto. Those are two great options. I own both, so know how nicely finished both are. I collect many brands, so if you want to run something by me, shoot me a PM. I am planning my own wedding, so I know how crazy and stressful, this time can be.

Depending on budget, Mido makes a nice swiss watch for the price.

I'm a bit bemused at this modern "gift giving" thing associated with weddings.
Here in Australia, the only "gift" was/is the honour of being asked to support the groom or bride. Likewise the "gift" the participants gave each other was the rings.
When we were married we paid for everything ourselves and there was no surplus left for "gifts".
Just the trappings of an affluent society, I guess.

let me know if you get divorced & re-engaged. I think we can be friends.

While I have to admit I'm more a Gallagher's guy, PL's is never the wrong answer. If I may, I think Gal's has more of an old NY feel and its right in the center of the universe for whatever happens after the meal.
